Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account data — your email address and a hashed password when you register. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
• Usage data — the URLs you scan, monitor, or screenshot, and the results of those scans. That's the product working, not tracking.
• Lead form data — if you request the SEO audit template or an Enterprise quote, we store the name, email, company, and message you give us — solely to reply and send what you asked for.
• Billing data — payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details; we only hold your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

What we don't do

• No selling or renting your data to anyone, ever.
• No third-party advertising trackers or analytics pixels on this site.
• No marketing email unless you explicitly opted in — and every email has a working unsubscribe.

Cookies & local storage

SiteSmith uses no advertising cookies. When you log in, an authentication token is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. Logging out removes it.

Where your data lives

Application data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Neon) over encrypted connections. All traffic to and from SiteSmith is served over HTTPS/TLS.

Your rights (GDPR)

Wherever you are, we apply GDPR-level rights to everyone:

• Access — ask for a copy of everything we hold about you.
• Rectification — fix anything that's wrong.
• Erasure — ask us to delete your account and data, and we will.
• Portability — get your data in a machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these, email support@sitesmith.tools from your account email. We respond within one business day and complete requests within 30 days.
